Caracterización bibliométrica de la producción científica de la revista Ingeniería Mecánica (2010-2021) en SciELO

Resumen


Objetivo. Caracterizar la revista de Ingeniería Mecánica en el período 2010-2021 a través de un estudio bibliométrico de su producción científica en la base de datos SciELO. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque. Se tomaron los datos del SciELO Citation Index (SciELO CI) de la Web of Science (WoS). Se guardaron en un archivo de valores separados por comas (.cvs) para su procesamiento, visualización y análisis a través de un enfoque cuantitativo empleando Bibliometrix-Biblioshiny de R y VOSviewer. Resultados/Discusión. Un total de 258 artículos fueron publicados, con 150 citas totales y un promedio de 0,58 citas por documento. Los términos más frecuentes fueron modelación, elementos finitos, optimización, mantenimiento y fatiga Los autores que más contribuyen en número de citas y documentos son cubanos de la propia institución editora de la revista. Conclusiones. Se detectó poca colaboración con instituciones internacionales mientras que existe una alta participación de la entidad editora de la revista. La actualidad de las referencias está por debajo de la media de 5 años. La revista publica mayormente temas relacionados con los métodos numéricos, la modelación y el mantenimiento. Los autores de la revista que mayor impacto tienen son de origen cubano y pertenecen a la propia institución editora de IM. Originalidad/Valor. Hasta el momento no se ha encontrado un estudio bibliométrico sobre las publicaciones de la revista lo que permite caracterizar por vez primera la revista empleando Bibliometrix y VOSviewer simultáneamente.
